Diagnostic Assessments

We usually suggest an initial assessment to make recommendations for which specialist assessments might be warranted, who you might want involved in this and what interventions we think could be helpful.

We cannot guarantee the outcome of a diagnostic assessment but will not recommend an assessment if we do not feel there is a high likelihood of receiving a diagnosis.

We understand that you might like to proceed without an initial assessment and our recommendation; we are happy to proceed in this way if that is your decision.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Adult ADHD Assessment

This assessment involves a detailed interview with yourself and someone you feel knows you very well (ideally a parent or partner), in addition to completion of a screening measure.

Child ADHD Assessment

This assessment involves a 2hour school observation, a computer task with the child (QB Check) and an interview with the child's parent/guardian, in addition to completion of a screening measure and a detailed questionnaire completed and sent to us by the school.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Adult ASD Assessment

This assessment involves a multidisciplinary gold standard assessment procedure consisting of a 3hour developmental interview conducted online with yourself and someone who knows you very well, and a 1.5hour assessment with you at our offices in Hayle. These will be done by different clinicians so that we can gather multiple views on you. We will also review any relevant reports and assessments that you may already have.

Once we have all of this information, we will discuss as a team to come to a decision - both clinicians who have taken part in your assessment will be part of this..

The fee also includes a 1hour feedback session with your lead clinician to address any questions you have about the assessment outcome and onward journey.
