Clinical Psychologist & Director
Dr Pippa Moran
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy Dr Pippa Moran is the founder of Cornwall Clinical Psychology and a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. She has worked in NHS psychology services for over 14 years, with a particular focus on supporting children, young people, families, and adults with neurodevelopmental and emotional needs. Pippa has extensive experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Paediatrics, and offers a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care. She specialises in short- to mid-term psychological interventions for difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, and trauma, drawing on a range of therapeutic models including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) She also carries out neurodevelopmental assessments, including for Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD, as part of a multi-disciplinary team for both children and adults. Pippa is qualified to provide cognitive assessments and has been working as an Expert Witness in the Family Courts since 2015. 🐾 Therapy Dog in Training: Pippa often works alongside Iris, a Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla and Therapy Dog in Training. Iris is known for her gentle nature and love of people; she’s often found welcoming visitors before settling in quietly nearby. Many of our younger and older clients alike find her presence calming and reassuring. If you have any questions about Iris or would prefer for her not to be present during your session, just let us know, we’re happy to accommodate. Pippa has also launched ADHD Next Steps. a post diagnostic service for parents of young people with ADHD. Pippa works in the Hayle clinic and online. PLEASE NOTE PIPPA WILL BE AWAY ON A SABBATICAL FROM OCTOBER UNTIL FEBRUARY SO IS NOT TAKING ON ANY NEW THERAPY CLIENTS UNTIL MARCH 2026.

Jo McNamara-Chard
BA (Hons), PGCE Jo grew up in Surrey and relocated to Cornwall in 2016. She is an ex Secondary School Drama Teacher. Jo works part-time providing clerical and administrative support to Cornwall Clinical Psychology and oversees the smooth running of operations across the practice. Jo operates via email as a virtual administrator.

Dr Bryony Field
BSc (Joint Hons), DClinPsy, PGDip Bryony is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist, registered with the HCPC and the BPS, and a member of the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT). She has over 17 years’ experience working across the NHS and Social Care in Cornwall, Devon, Bristol and London. Bryony offers specialist support to individuals and systems affected by trauma and abuse, as well as diagnostic assessment for autism in young adults and adults. She is a qualified Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) practitioner and is passionate about helping people move beyond diagnoses, developing a compassionate understanding of their experiences to enable meaningful change. Her work includes therapy, consultation, and training, as well as complex psychological assessments for children and adults, focusing on areas such as attachment, trauma, cognitive functioning, and neurodevelopment. Dr Sally Powis
BSc, MSc, CPsychol, DClinPsych, AfBPS Sally is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist specialising in autism, registered with the BPS and HCPC. She has worked with autistic children and adults since 1999 across NHS, third sector, and private services. Currently, Sally supports autistic adults of all ability levels and provides consultation to other service providers. She has played a key role in developing autism services both in the UK and internationally, including founding diagnostic clinics in Oxfordshire and the British Virgin Islands, and launching a successful online diagnostic platform for Healios. Sally offers autism assessment and diagnosis, individual therapy, consultation to families and services, and training for professionals and commissioners. Her therapeutic work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Positive Psychology, with a holistic and autism-affirming approach. She has additional training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and is increasingly recognised for her work with autistic individuals navigating gender dysphoria. Sally works in our Hayle clinic and online

Dr Lucia Chorvathova
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy Lucia is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with a strong focus on neurodevelopmental needs. She works with children, young people and families, offering assessments and therapy for autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and long-term health conditions. Lucia’s therapeutic approach integrates ACT, CFT, DBT, and systemic and attachment-informed models. She adapts her communication and materials to each person’s needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. She also supports parents and schools with consultation, behaviour plans, and post-diagnostic care, helping to create sustainable, meaningful support systems. Lucia works in the Hayle clinic and online.

Dr Claire Rycroft
BSc (Hons), MSc, DClinPsy Claire is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with experience across NHS, forensic and academic settings. She has worked in inpatient and community mental health services, and provides psychological risk assessments for legal and criminal justice settings. Claire offers trauma-informed therapy for adults, young adults and couples, drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). She supports individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-criticism, and relational challenges. Claire offers sessions in-person in Bodmin and online.

Dr Perry Morrison
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, CPsychol Perry is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the BPS and HCPC. He has over 20 years’ experience working across NHS, forensic services, voluntary, and private sectors, supporting adults in both hospital and community settings. Perry has worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including learning disabilities, autism, severe mental health difficulties, trauma, and personality issues. He is also experienced in providing Expert Witness reports for court, including forensic risk assessments and family evaluations. He is trained in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and is an accredited CAT supervisor. He also has training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), having previously led a successful DBT team in an inpatient setting. Perry combines these approaches with his interest in ecopsychology to provide therapy tailored to each individual’s needs. Perry currently offers assessment and therapy for adults, couples, and families, both online and in person. He also provides supervision to other professionals. Perry works in our Hayle clinic and online

Dr Sophie Augarde
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy Sophie is a HCPC-registered and chartered Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting children and adults with a wide range of psychological needs. She specialises in diagnostic assessments for autism, learning difficulties, and learning disabilities, and has a strong background in clinical health psychology. Sophie has supported individuals managing the psychological impact of health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, and epilepsy. Sophie works in a compassionate, person-centred way to help individuals understand their needs and find the right support. Sophie works predominantly online, with some work in Hayle and Falmouth.

Dr Tessa Hinshaw
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy Tessa is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with 15 years’ experience across NHS and private settings. Since 2016, she has specialised in autism and ADHD assessment for young people and adults. Tessa previously worked as a Clinical Lead for a large online neurodevelopmental service and now works in independent practice. She is committed to delivering high-quality, accessible assessments in a therapeutic and collaborative way. She also provides consultation and supervision to professionals working in neurodevelopmental services. Tessa works online and Exeter.

Karen Piper
BSc (Hons), MA, Post-MA Diploma Karen is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the BPS and HCPC. Since qualifying at doctorate level in 2006, she has supported adults and young people across NHS, charity, and private settings in London. Karen offers a warm, collaborative therapeutic space and draws on a range of approaches including Existential, Humanistic, Compassion-Focused, and CBT. She has particular expertise in supporting individuals affected by anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and the psychological impact of physical health conditions and life changes. Karen is a keen advocate of nature-based therapy and continues to consult on a horticultural therapy project for survivors of torture. She is now based in Cornwall and plans to offer local Ecotherapy opportunities. people, families, and adults with neurodevelopmental and emotional needs. karen works in both the Hayle and Falmouth clinics.

Steph Allen
BA (Hons), MA Music Therapy, MSc Psy, Dip Music and imagery Therapy, Dip Trauma Informed Therapy, NMT trained. Steph is a HCPC-registered Music Therapist and Assistant Psychologist, with training in trauma-focused CBT, Music and Imagery Therapy, Neurologic Music Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. She has experience supporting children, young people and adults with trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, and learning disabilities. Steph works alongside the team to support neurodevelopmental assessments, school observations, therapeutic interventions, and service feedback. Her approach is creative, compassionate, and grounded in trauma-informed care. Steph works predominantly in the Hayle clinic

Hannah Orsler
BSc (Hons), MSc Hannah is an experienced and compassionate practitioner with over a decade of experience supporting children, young people, and families with complex needs in community settings. She holds a Foundation Degree in Children, Young People and Families Practice, a BSc in Health, Community and Social Science, and an MSc in Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Hannah has worked extensively across multidisciplinary teams, including within a Primary Care Network, where she contributed to holistic care planning and health improvement for individuals with a wide range of psychological and social needs. Her approach is thoughtful and person-centred, rooted in evidence-based practice and a strong commitment to early intervention and collaborative support. Hannah is passionate about empowering individuals and families to achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes that support overall wellbeing. Hannah works predominantly in the Hayle clinic
